€350,000 Investment in Solar Power for a Sustainable Food Industry

In 2025, Intergrana took a concrete step towards energy transition. With a strategic investment of €350,000, the company expanded its solar power system in partnership with Energy S.p.A., reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility.
A New 140 kW Solar Power System
The project included the addition of a 140-kW photovoltaic plant, complementing the existing 50 kW system. Thanks to this expansion, the company can now cover approximately 50% of its energy needs with renewable energy produced on-site.
A system of this size not only reduces energy costs but also significantly cuts CO₂ emissions, contributing to the decarbonization of the food industry.
250 kWh Battery Storage: Solar Power When It’s Needed Most
A key feature of the project is the integration of a 250-kWh storage battery, enabling the company to store solar energy produced during daylight hours for use when sunlight is not available.
This system enhances the company’s energy autonomy and is a vital element for operational continuity and optimizing self-consumption.
A Strategic Investment Beyond Financial Returns
The €350,000 investment goes well beyond simple financial payback. It is a strategic choice to:
- Reduce environmental impact
- Enhance company competitiveness
- Make our production chain more sustainable
- Deliver greater value to our customers
Intergrana believes solar energy is more than a technology—it is a vision. A tangible way to translate our corporate values into daily action.
Clean Energy in the Food Sector: A Replicable Model
The agri-food sector is one of the most energy-intensive in Italian industry. Investing in solar energy and storage systems is a forward-looking decision—one that can be replicated by other companies seeking to combine sustainability and performance.
With this new plant, Intergrana demonstrates that it is possible to deliver quality and innovation while fully respecting the environment.
